OUR WORKSHOP
At Hamilton’s Ltd, we specialise in cars, light commercials and small trailers. We can work on any make and model of vehicle, including hybrids. Our workshop and facilities are fitted out with the latest equipment and technology. Our modern fault finding and diagnostics tools allow us to identify quickly and correctly the electrical issue with your vehicle. We can repair any electrical fault, and if we can’t we will provide a replacement part for you.
Our City Centre location is easy to find and located close to public transport and lots of cafes, restaurants and shops. We strive to complete all jobs as quickly as possible. But in situations where a wait is unavoidable then our customers have easy access to plenty of entertainment and public transport.

How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.

Can I insert an image, video, or GIF in my FAQ?Yes. To add media follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Create a new FAQ or edit an existing one 3. From the answer text box click on the video, image or GIF icon 4. Add media from your library and save.

CLIMATE CONTROL / AIR CONDITIONINGIn order to work correctly and efficiently, climate control and air conditioning systems need to be serviced regularly. At Hamilton’s Ltd we perform an effective and cost efficient servicing to these systems. If we detect any issues or leaks we will repair these for you.

NCT REPAIRSAt Hamilton’s Auto Electrics we carry out repairs and replacements on all electrical components that could cause you to fail, or have failed, the NCT. Components checked in the NCT are: Window Wipers, Washer Jets, Horn, Lights, Untidy Wiring, Warning Lights

AIRBAGSThe Airbag Control Module determines when to deploy your airbags by using multiple crash sensors around the vehicle. A fault within the ACM or these sensors could potentially be fatal. We diagnose any issues and repair and replace the necessary components.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMSThe check engine light on your vehicle's dash will indicate if there is an Engine Management System fault. BATTERY DRAIN / PARASITIC DRAIN TESTINGHamilton’s Auto Electrics can evaluate your car battery and charging systems to ensure that there is no routine battery drain. High-specification vehicles can contain over 60 computer modules which all play a part in the operation of the vehicle’s driving and comfort control systems. On locking the vehicle there can be an extended shutdown period before all these systems enter sleep mode and if there is a fault in this shutdown procedure it can result in a slow drain on the battery – often leaving it without charge after an extended period. We will perform the required diagnostic and repairs on any battery drain problems

ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM (ABS)The Anti-Lock Braking System enables improved steering when sudden braking occurs. A light will illuminate on your vehicle's dashboard if a fault develops in the ABS – indicating that the ABS is currently disabled and not functioning correctly. In that case, bring your car to Hamilton’s Ltd and we will diagnose the problem and, if possible, repair the ABS without the need to replace any parts.

HEADLAMP ALIGNMENTHamilton’s Auto Electrics can test both modern and classic vehicles’ lighting systems and ensure that the headlamps are aligned correctly and make any necessary adjustments. Correct alignment is very important for driving safety. Setting headlamps too low limits the field of vision after dark but setting them too high could dazzle and impair the view of others on the road.
